Make Invisible Bookends Out of Two Sheets of Paper

Fancy bookends look great on bookshelves, but sometimes you might want your books to stand upright on their own. Author Jack Heath shows you how you can stand your books up with just a piece of plain paper on each end.

If you have thicker paper, feel free to use it, but Heath demonstrates with plain printer paper. Simply fold the paper in half long ways, then fold it in half short ways, and make a cut halfway through the paper as demonstrated. Then fold it into a box corner and tape it. Now you can insert it into the last book on your shelf and the weight from the book—and books next to it—will hold everything in place. Repeat for the other end and you're all set.
