Opening Alert: Coeur, A Montreal-Style Bistro From The Team Behind Memphis Taproom Debuts This September
// Things to Do in Philadelphia: uwishunu Philly
With their growing family of bars in Port Richmond (Memphis Taproom), West Philly (Local 44) and Center City (Strangeloves), Leigh Maida, Brendan Kelly and Brendan Hartranft have turned a winning combination of superior food, excellent beer selection and great service into a thing that Philadelphians now expect nay, demand.
And now, the trio brings their magic to Bella Vista.
Opening in September, Coeur is a Montreal-style bistro with approachable, easygoing fare that features options for everyone from meat eaters to vegans.
Chef Andy Tessler, formerly of The Farm and Fisherman and Pub & Kitchen, helms the kitchen with a large rotisserie oven that will be turning out large quantities of roasted chicken and schmaltz.
Guests can also expect an emphasis on wine — a bit of a departure from some of the city's savviest go-to beer connoisseurs — with six wines on tap, though there are 10 draft beers to keep their core audience well hydrated.
The official grand opening party takes place on Tuesday, September 15 with complimentary menu samples.
Thereafter, the kitchen will be open for lunch and dinner through midnight, with brunch service coming soon.
In true big-hearted style, the opening party is open to the public with no advanced reservations needed.
